Terms of Use

The short version. Only order a reel about someone you know personally who would be happy to get it. No orders about celebrities, politicians or other public figures. Nothing sexual, humiliating or mean. We delete the photos 30 days after delivery.
1. What we make
LifeReel turns photos and stories you send us into a short animated video gift about a person you know (the "recipient"). The characters, scenes and narration are made with AI tools, and a person checks every reel before it is delivered.
2. Your permission to use the photos
When you upload photos or write about someone, you confirm that:
- you know every person in the photos personally;
- you took the photos or have the right to use them;
- the recipient, and anyone else who appears (a partner, for example), would be happy to be in the reel;
- for anyone under 18, you are their parent or guardian or have their parent's or guardian's permission.
If someone asks us to remove a reel or photos of them, we will.
3. Private people only
Orders are for private people only. We don't accept orders about celebrities, politicians, athletes, influencers or other public figures, even as a joke or a tribute. We automatically check uploaded photos, and we cancel orders that turn out to be about a public figure.
4. What we won't make
- Anything sexual or suggestive, or any nudity.
- Anything that humiliates, bullies or harasses someone, or mocks their looks, body, health, money, religion, ethnicity, gender or sexuality.
- Anything violent, hateful or threatening.
- Anything that pretends to be real: fake news, fake evidence, or a reel meant to make people believe the person really said or did something.
- Anything that breaks the law or someone else's rights, including other people's logos, characters or music.
We may change or leave out any line in the script for these reasons.
5. Cancelling an order
If an order breaks these terms, we may cancel it. If you already paid, we refund you in full. If you break these terms on purpose, we may refuse future orders.
6. Using the reel
The reel is yours to share with the recipient, with friends and family, and on social media. Please don't use it to advertise a product or business, and don't use it in a way that would embarrass the person in it. We may show a reel as an example on our site or social media only with written permission from you and the recipient.
7. Photos and your data
We use photos and answers only to make the reel. We delete the photos 30 days after delivery. We send them to the AI services that draw and animate the characters and record the narration, only for that purpose. Want them deleted sooner? Reply to any of our emails.
8. Redo or refund
If you don't like the reel, tell us what to change and we'll fix it. If it still isn't right, you get a full refund.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. The version on this page when you place an order applies to that order.
